The reason socialism never works isn't just economic — it's human. Every self-identified socialist is a hypocrite, not by accident but by nature. They don't praise poverty by choice. They praise it because that's what they are. Buddha was wealthy and walked away from it, lived like a monk — that's legitimate renunciation, a man who had everything and chose nothing. Modern socialists never had a choice. They're not monks. They're involuntary poor dressed up in ideology, using socialism to justify their inadequacy. Economic incels.
Watch what happens whenever these involuntary monks get a chance at real money or power. They transform instantly into the most materialistic, sadistic, ego-inflated dictators imaginable. Look at every self-identified communist leader of every movement that ever touched real funding — multimillion dollar mansions, cars with chauffeurs, private weekend lakeside retreats, penthouse lifestyles. Given the first opportunity to steal, they steal. Every single time. The ideology was never about equality. It was about resentment wearing a mask.
The modern Western socialist lives in the most expensive cities — New York, San Francisco, Berlin — indulges in hedonism, and preaches socialism. Under actual communism, they couldn't walk down the street without being beaten or arrested. Their lifestyle would trigger ten different criminal charges. The party wouldn't let them near a bourgeois apartment — those are reserved for high-ranking officials. Everything they enjoy exists exclusively because of the capitalist system they claim to despise.
Once "rich people are evil" becomes not just something losers mutter but official one-party policy enforced nationwide, everyone becomes an enforcer. Your neighbors report you. Your coworkers report you. Your children — brainwashed in state schools — report you. Many communist regimes encouraged family members to inform on each other. A ten-year-old daughter reports her father for criticizing the system at the dinner table. Father is taken away. Daughter receives a reward. It's documented history.
Look at how aggressive the communists are now, when they're not even in power. Open calls for political violence, openly celebrating murder, advocating assassination online with impunity. These are resentful, agitated people operating without consequences in a tolerant system. Now imagine what happens when these same people seize full totalitarian control. The first 5-10 years is always terror — massacres, ideological cleansings, purges. No exception. Brutal. If you ever told an anti-communist joke, messaged a friend something critical, posted anything dissenting — better to pack up and leave before the state police arrives. Those who stayed were jailed or executed. Those who escaped became refugees. By the time the purge ends, all political enemies are gone — fled, imprisoned, or dead. The rest are sheep, ready to be trained.
Then comes the real machinery: state-approved schools teaching communist values, communist teachers who never knew anything else training the next generation, who train the next. It only takes one or two generations to fully brainwash a nation. The original violence becomes invisible history. The indoctrination becomes the water everyone swims in — unquestioned, unexamined, normal.
None of the self-identified socialists in the Western world live by socialist values. They are economic incels cosplaying as revolutionaries, using ideology to dignify failure. Leaving this worldview is almost like leaving a religion — you don't even know you're indoctrinated while you're in it. You don't question it. It all seems normal. Until one day you grow up, look back, and realize you were living inside a mental cage built by people who needed you to stay poor, angry, and compliant.
Leaving the cage starts with accountability — taking responsibility for your own life instead of outsourcing blame. Playing victim, denying responsibility, pointing fingers at others — these don't liberate, they render you permanently powerless. Which is exactly where the cage builders want you.
